Brief about Shahabad CMC:-

          The City Shahabad became City Municipal Council in the year 2002. It is situated along Bangalore-Mumbai Railway line. It has the population og 50,587 as per census of 2001.The CMC has 31 wards and equal number of councilors.Shahabad cmc stretches to an area of 7.80 Sq Kms.Shahabad is an Industrial City located North East Karnataka at a distance 632 from Bangalore, it is the first city in Gulbarga District..The city has religious places like Sharana Basaveshwara Temple, Ramanadevi Temple and Haji Peer Dharga and Temple Chandrakala Parameshwari at Hungunta, which is located at a distance 10 Kms from City.Shahabad city is a center for shahabad stone activities. There are stone polishing units, one ZAWAR Cement Factory apart form this Alstom factory manufacturing Boilers.

 Education:Mount Carmel convent school among the most well known, reputed and prestigious school, consisting of a large three storied building with a large playground lined with trees, it continues to function in what is now known as Alstom Colony. Bal Vidya Mandir is also a well known english medium school, administered by Central Railway Society.It is centally located near the Railway Station. H.K.E society's S S Margol college of Arts, Science and Commerce is one of the oldest and well known degree college, which founded in 1967 situated out skirts of the city in nearly 10 acres of land.

ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ :  ÆÐÌѾѷР  ನಗರಸಭೆಯು ಆಸ್ತಿ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು .  ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1995 ರಿಂದ ಈ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ  ಜನನ ಮತ್ತು ಮರಣ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಾಗರೀಕ ಸೇವಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲೆ ಜನನ-ಮರಣ ನೊಂದಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಾ ಶುಲ್ಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಹಾಗೂ ಇದರ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸದುಪಯೋಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೇಂದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

COMPUTARIZATION:     We are very happy to intimate the citizens of Shahabad city that we have computerised the collection of Property Tax ,Birth and Death certificates from 1995 to till date under  Nirmala Nagar computerization scheme, from now on wards citizens are requested to visit the citizen service centre at the office for registration and getting of Birth and Death certificates by paying service fee. Citizens are requested to make use of this facility.
